Wateraid
What a waste?
Advertising Campaign
What is . . .
WaterAid is a worldwide NGO (Non-Government Organisation), founded in 1991. The NGO aims to solve the water crisis all over the world. In these few years, the brand started to create different campaigns on social media (e.g. “Give a sh*t” campaign). WaterAid raises the brand awareness and funds successfully through social media.
Brief
Since the start, Wateraid received donations from the higher age group. It leads them to expand their target group to the university student. They believe in students are the future donators. Doing campaigns in the age group can remind them to donate in the future.
Idea
Get the art & design uni students
To raise brand awareness and educate them of the water crisis
By organising an art exhibition, which involves artwork of theme "water". Doing the promotion of the exhibition reaches the campaign's goal at the same time.
Exhibition
Charity art exhibition would be held in Tate Modern, London.
Address: Bankside, London SE1 9TG
We will challenge established and upcoming artists to create art with the theme of “thirsty world” These pieces of art will be on sale at the exhibition. All profits will go towards Wateraid to solve water crisis.
The Exhibition Poster
The visuals of the campaign is with retro style. Our team would like to bring back the concept of “popping message on PC”. It can resonate with the university students in a humour and fun way.

The Advertising Campaign
GIF Poster
The visual concept of the advertising is to remind students about the popping message of old pc. It is just like a reminder, which is very annoying but useful at the same time. The GIF posters can be used as IG story post and interactive Ad in Tube too.
