Inspiration

A day, I have read news about jellyfish starting to become extinct. There is no reason why the creatures were landing on the beach. It leads to an environmental problem of our earth. It is not a good way to continue letting them disappear. Keeping the biodiversity is a goal to maintain the earth's sustainability.

In this project, I used a metaphor to describe our world as the ocean. Humans are the jellyfish in the sea. We find different people to play and communicate within our whole life. However, sometimes people try to find somebody connecting with, you even will try to avoid it. In Hong Kong, individualism is stronger. But as a whole, we are still family. We should respect our home, protecting the ocean is very important to anyone. This project helps me to deliver my personal expression and the core message of the environmental problem at the same time.

Concept

The exhibition includes a lot of hologram device. When people tried to touch the jellyfish on the screen, it starts to avoid the touch and run to the other side. The support of processing and hologram helps a lot to build up visual effects. After entering this room, you will feel and realise how magnificent the world is.
